Too many people are content with their lack of success in life’s ventures. They soften the blows rained on them by failure by excusing themselves and their condition because “I just didn’t get the breaks” that other people did. “I wasn’t born in the right family” or “with a silver spoon in my mouth”.
Unfortunately, a lot of people do this spiritually too! They are what they are ‘because this is how I was raised’ or ‘it’s just not me’! How different their lives could be made through a few simple acts of consistent devotion!
John Maxwell, in his book entitled “Success”, tells us that there are few simple concepts that we each can put to work to help us succeed in every area of life:
1. You are what you do daily.
2. You first form your habits; then your habits form you.
3. It is just as easy to form habits of success as it is to form habits of failure.
Every day is a new day and what I become tomorrow depends on what I do today! Let’s become successful at living for God… starting today!
