Youth Fundraising Stuff

The cafe’s have been great and we want to say thank you to ALL (can’t mention names because we surely would forget someone) who have helped. It hasn’t gone unnoticed, even to Sis. Goodine who has come in every week and done the dirty work (strained all the grease and washed all the pots) without being asked! Again… Thank You!

With this sunny weather the last few days, it makes me feel like summer is just around the corner. Which means our trip will soon be upon us! We will soon be packin’ up and hittn’ the road.

We are going to take a break from the potatoes chips for a few weeks. However, we are open to suggestions for fundraisers… bring us ideas!

We are going to offer the girls a chance to sell some baking at Super Sunday. So here is some info you will need to remember:

  1. Whatever you sell will go directly towards your personal fund for the trip.
  2. The proceeds will not be divided equally among the group. Therefore if this weekend is bad for you and you can’t do anything there is no pressure.
  3. Please have your baking packaged to sell.
  4. Please have your name, recipe name and price on a label attached to your baking.
  5. Please specify if there are NUTS and what kind there are for those allergies.

Moms, if you want to bake for the boys… go right ahead! They will thank you!

God Bless.

Updates & Announcements

Please note… Family Skate has been moved up to 8:45 PM. Men’s Hockey will therefore commence at 9:45 approx.

Also, for the youth planning to go on the Pennsylvania excursion, we discussed in the beginning about paying for the trip in increments if you were serious about going. The time is now upon us to collect the first 50% of the total cost ($525 USD). By the 31st of March, we must have $250 collected from each participant. Another $125 will be due the end of April, and the last $125 by the second weekend in May.

For the most part, due to fundraisers, many of you are already well on your way! Thanks to all of you who have supported the lunches and bake sales, given cans and bottles or offered odd jobs to the youth. It is appreciated.

If you need to know how much is in your “travel account”, please feel free to email me personally.

God Bless and we’ll see you on the weekend.

This Week…

The schedule for the week is now posted on the website.

The 3D Youth Activity will take place tonight. Rides are still being determined and we will have more information soon. Group should meet at the church by 6:15-6:30 since their reservation at CEPS is for 7 pm. The cost will be divided equally amongst the group and should be around $10 each. There will be no lunch stop afterwards.

You will notice there is no “Couple’s Fellowship” this week. When you look at the rest of the schedule you’ll see why. Very. Busy. Week.

Also, there will be no “Men’s Meeting” on Sunday Morning. A prior engagement precludes this function.

Happy 70th Birthday to Sis. Janette Lewis! We love you!

Have a blessed week!

No Choir Practice…

Choir Practice for tonight will be cancelled.

Bro. Charlie and Bro. Levi are prepping the sanctuary for the installation of our new monitors on Monday!! Because their shifts allow them to work only at specific times, we want them to be able to work in peace… LOL

Thanks for your understanding. All should return to “normal” soon. 🙂

God Bless. See y’all tomorrow!
